TPG Telecom delivers fixed and mobile network services for NAB

Australian operator TPG Telecom has announced that the National Australia Bank (NAB) has transitioned to the TPG fixed and mobile network services.

The transition follows the partnership deal signed in 2020, under which TPG Telecom agreed to deliver fixed network services across NAB’s corporate offices, Business Banking Centres and branches, as well as provide mobile connectivity to the majority of the NAB workforce according to a statement published by them.

TPG Telecom customer sales and strategy general manager Chris Russo said the company’s solutions played an important role in the wider financial services industry.

“We present a compelling and innovative set of resilient, secure and affordable network solutions”, Russo said.

Throughout the migration, he added, we were able to ensure NAB’s customers experienced no network disruption, and since completion, we have seen a 100 percent increase in network capacity which has improved the branch experience for NAB customers.

“The success of this significant migration of network services for NAB is further evidence of TPG Telecom’s ability to deliver market-leading services to enterprise customers.”

He added that TPG helped NAB transition 95 percent of all its locations remotely.

During the past nine months, a majority of NAB’s branches, corporate offices and data centres were transitioned onto TPG Telecom’s fixed and mobile networks.

In addition, using redundant TPG Fibre and NBN services across more than 700 locations, TPG’s automation capabilities will provide NAB with enhanced service delivery and enable the faster delivery of network changes. A standardized network platform will also allow simpler management across thousands of sites, including on-net TPG fibre and bandwidth supplied over the NBN.

NAB Executive Enterprise Technology, Steve Day said, “This is an important step in our insourcing journey which is about increasing control and flexibility back into the company. We’re extremely pleased we’ll be able to bring our services together with one company and make the most of TPG T
